The foundation of our bed is the highest quality foam from Switzerland that meets the world’s most stringent health and safety standards. We document every single one of our sources and ensure they are certified so that no MVMNT customer is bathed in chemicals or at risk of chemical off-gassing from mattresses that come from less meticulous companies. Our luxurious, Italian, hand-cut, hand-sewn and hand-finished topper is fashioned exclusively from fine European wool, textiles and thread and is crafted over nearly 30 hours by expert artisans in a small town at the base of the Italian Alps. Our patented, foam core is unique in both its breathable design, and in its resilience and ability to bounce back. We utilize a distinct network of air channels that are cut directly into the foam and create a bellows effect that pulls fresh air in and pushes stagnant air out every time you move. The standard comfort layer is the top-most piece of the core and is made from dynamic, quick-responding memory foam. This foam is formulated to react to your body heat, humidity, and pressure, while adapting to your body’s anatomy and sleeping positions.

The other layers of our foam core are made from 100% polyurethane foam. Our support layer is made of specialized, high resilience foam found only in Switzerland and is made to withstand varying climates including high temperature and high humidity conditions. We also hate the feeling of being stuck in memory foam! We use only seven centimeters of quick-responding memory foam in our core. This means the foam bounces back to its original shape much faster than ordinary memory foam, preventing that ‘stuck’ feeling.

Yes. One side is labelled ‘Luxury,’ and is finished with the finest wool from Italy and Tencel® from Austria. The luxury side creates a warmer sleep experience—so it may be preferable for colder months. The other side is labelled ‘3D Tech,’ and is designed with breathable, 3D textiles beneath Tencel® for a cooler sleep experience -- so it may be preferable for warmer months.

Absolutely not. Slight yellowing is a normal product of exposure to oxygen and light. This has no impact on the quality or function of your MVMNT Sleep System, which is designed so you can open the cover and adjust foam core layers to tune the system for your optimal comfort.

Research suggests that most consumers find their old mattress to be too soft, rather than too hard. Out of the box, your MVMNT will feel somewhere between medium and firm compared to other mattresses. As we’ve explained, you can adjust the firmness up or down and flip the topper for a cooler or warmer sleeping temperature.

You can, but it is absolutely not necessary unless the frame you use has inadequate support slats or structure.

You can, but not with a ‘split adjustable’ base.

A podium (or platform) base absolutely works and is the most optimal solution. You can also use your MVMNT Sleep System with a slat base as long as the slats are no less than 3 inches wide and no more than 2 inches apart.

No. Your MVNMT topper is NOT machine washable. You may spot clean it with mild detergent and water by dabbing the surface. Also, make sure your MVMNT mattress is dry before using it further. See care instructions on mattress label.

Your MVMNT foam core components should be handled with care. Please refer to our "How To" page (https://www.mvmntsleep.com/assembly-instructions) for the best way to flip your comfort layer. If you do end up creating a small tear, it should not affect the functionality of your system.

Call us immediately and we will see how we might be able to help – but staining or ripping voids your warranty. Health regulations make it impossible even to donate mattresses to charity when they are stained by any bodily fluid.

It’s possible. Distance between your body and the special materials we use for recovery may lessen the proven recovery benefits. You are welcome to use a pad or protector at your own discretion.

White Glove Delivery works like this: At no cost to you, your MVMNT Sleep System will be delivered to your door, unpacked, set up in the room and location of your choice, and all the packaging will be whisked away by a trained specialist. You will get a call the day prior to delivery to set up a two-hour window and a call 30 minutes prior to delivery on the agreed-upon day.

Our foam matrix is specifically designed to minimize the off-gassing that plagues other foam mattresses. Plus, since our mattress arrives uncompressed, there are no off-gassing issues.

Check with your town or municipality about recycling or disposal of your old mattress. We also partner with a take-away service that charges $100 to come pick up your old mattress. Just let us know when we call to set up your delivery and we will make the arrangements!
